Judge Carero practiced workers’ compensation law in Southern California for 17 years with the firm Stockwell, Harris, Woolverton and Helphrey before his appointment to the Oxnard District Office of the WCAB as Workers’ Compensation Administrative Law Judge in 2001. He had extensive trial and appellate experience and has argued before the California Court of Appeal followed by more than 14 years on the bench. He serves on the Executive Committee of the Workers’ Compensation Section of the California Lawyers’ Association.
