Jennifer Christian is a thought leader, innovator, and advocate for improving health and functional outcomes in healthcare, workers’ compensation, and disability benefits systems. She was recently named one of the 50 most influential people in workers’ compensation and occupational medicine. She is a physician, board-certified in occupational medicine, with an MD and a master’s degree in public health from the University of Washington. Her career in occupational medicine has been spent in multiple settings and in several jurisdictions, including West Virginia, Maine, and Alaska early in her medical career. She served as president of the Alaska State Medical Association and was named Physician of the Year. Dr. Christian is President of Webility Corporation which serves as a catalyst for positive change in workers’ compensation and disability benefits systems. Webility does management consulting and training in both the private and public sector. Webility has developed special expertise in strategic design, development, and pilot testing of new processes and programs. Recently, Webility has begun transforming lives of individuals with potentially remediable poor outcomes via its innovative structured self-care and self-development program delivered by personal tutors/coaches. In addition, Dr. Christian serves on a Return to Work Advisory Panel for the US Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Programs. She founded and moderates the 1300 member Work Fitness & Disability Roundtable. She is the Executive Director of the newly-formed Praxis Partners Consortium. Previously, she headed the award-winning 
60 Summits Project, an initiative to propagate the work disability prevention model across North America. She is a Fellow of the American College of Occupational & Environmental Medicine and chairs its Work Fitness & Disability Section. She has received ACOEM’s Health Achievement award for her efforts to bring work disability prevention to the forefront, both within ACOEM and beyond. She licensed to practice medicine in California and Massachusetts.
