Ronda Hammond is the Director, Associate Risk Services for Ascension Health. She joined Ascension Health eight years ago. Ascension is the largest non-profit, Catholic Health System in the US with more than 150,000 associates and 40,000 aligned providers. The national health system operates more than 2,600 sites of care – including 150 hospitals and more than 50 senior living facilities – in 20 states and the District of Columbia. Ronda has extensive experience in the areas of post injury and illness management and currently oversees the self-insured workers’ compensation program for Ascension. Prior to her role with Ascension Ronda worked for Sedgwick as a Director of Claims. Her 15+ years of experience with Sedgwick included integrated post injury management strategies and a highly successful return to work program. Ronda holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Human Services from Columbia College in Columbia, Missouri. She currently services as the Vice President for the Texas Self Insurance Association and has been a frequent guest speaker for the National Workers’ Compensation Defense Network as well as at the National Workers’ Compensation and Disability Conference.
