Rosa Royo is the Director of Workers Compensation for Miami Dade County Public Schools. She currently manages a 30 million dollar program and has reduced lost time days from an average of 77,000 to approximately 25,000 lost time days per year. Rosa has developed a supportive relationship with other departments such as staffing, OPS, and regional personnel in order to facilitate communication about, and the return to work of, injured employees. Rosa has been with Miami Dade County Schools since 2003; previously she was Director of Human Resources and Risk Management for the YMCA of Greater Miami. Rosa is a graduate of Barry University, Miami, FL.
