He has extensive experience in non-operative and operative treatment of spinal disorders. He performs microscope-assisted cervical, lumbar and motion preservation procedures, including disc replacement surgery, in addition to minimally invasive fusion and decompression treatments.
Dr. Rah’s professional goal is to provide compassionate, quality care to patients with spinal disorders. He has presented research at national spine meetings and published scientific articles and chapters in spine textbooks. “I find treating spine ailments to be both challenging and rewarding. The greatest reward is getting patients back to their active lifestyles,” he says. In 2008, Dr. Rah relocated from the South Bay to the West Valley. When outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three boys. He also stays active with biking and tennis.
Dr. Rah received his undergraduate degree in biology from Brown University and his medical degree from New York Medical College, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. He completed his surgical internship and orthopaedic surgery residency at NYU-Hospital for joint disease. After completing his residency, Dr. Rah completed a spine surgery fellowship at Rancho Los Amigos Rehabilitation Center. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and a member of multiple spine and medical associations.
