Mr. Asvar’s practice is focused on brain injury and catastrophic litigation in both civil and worker’s compensation arenas.
He received his Bachelors in Science from the UC Davis, with minors in English and Political Science. He was a visiting researcher at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke at NIH, and is a named author on several scientific publications. Mr. Asvar received his law degree from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles in 2004. He has been recognized by SuperLawyers in consecutive years, with the distinction of being named in both fields of civil plaintiff litigation, as well as, worker’s compensation. Mr. Asvar has achieved multiple multi-million-dollar settlement and awards in both civil and work comp litigation. In 2012, Mr. Asvar set the record for the highest workers’ compensation award in California and the nation, only to break his own record in 2017 with a $10 million award. In Schultz v. WCAB (2015) he argued successfully before the California Court of Appeal, to expand California inured workers’ right to compensation.
