In November 2013, Jon Brissman retired and relocated to Indianapolis, Indiana. He elected inactive status with the California State Bar effective January 1, 2015 but remains eligible to reactivate his license. He is a guest lecturer at Indiana University and coaches "We The People" and Academic Decathlon teams at an Indianapolis high school.
